They will visit Kista tech in Monza, Paris and Norway for 43 kronor

Technology from Kista reaches far beyond the borders of Stockholm and Sweden. More than 700 people applied for a trip to places where innovations from Kista are used. Three winners have now been chosen. Later this summer, they will travel to Monza, Paris and the Norwegian fjords for the price of a subway ticket – 43 kronor.

Formula 1 trip to Monza: Alice Ek, Stockholm

Experience Proximion technology in Monza

Alice is studying to become a civil engineer at KTH. She is part of Formula Student, where she and her team build a racing car from scratch to compete against other universities. Her goal is to become an engineer in Formula 1. She doesn’t just want to follow the sport from a distance. She wants to understand it from the inside, study the cars and get close to the world she is on her way into. Alice is bringing her father to Monza. He is the person who introduced her to the sport and has been a great support throughout her studies.

Trip: Flights, hotel in Milan and tickets to the full race weekend: F1, F2, F3 and Porsche Supercup, 4–6 September. Races streams worldwide using fibre optic products from Kista company Proximion. Capturing the G-forces on screen in the highest quality.

Climate trip to the Norwegian fjords: Anthony Tajaddod, Stockholm

Experience Climeon technology in Norway

Anthony wants to take his mother on a trip she might otherwise never have experienced. He wanted to “buy her a subway ticket all the way to Norway”. This line gave his application both humour and personality. They share a love of beautiful landscapes and taking the time to appreciate what is around them. This feels especially important today. In an age where technology is often portrayed as the opposite of presence and reflection, even though we know that isn’t true.

Trip: Train to Bergen, cruise Bergen–Trondheim with full board on board Havila Kystruten’s vessels – equipped with energy technology from Kista company Climeon – and train onward from there.

Space trip to Paris: Angelica Wester, Malmö

Experience Kebni technology in Paris

Angelica is bringing her husband. He is turning 30, works in tech and is what she calls a “space nerd”. She describes him as someone who sees the future with optimism, precisely because he understands what technology is making possible. Angelica describes him as an unselfish person who loves everything to do with innovation and the future. Together they will now visit Astrolabe and experience technology that is more relevant than ever.

Trip: Return train to Paris. Three nights’ accommodation. Visit to ESA’s visitor centre Astrolabe, where satellite communication technology from Kista company Kebni is used in Europe’s space infrastructure.

Kista Limitless ran the competition The Kista Ticket 20 April – 10 May 2026.
